The heroine in Alien vs Predator is a black woman, Alexa Woods, played by Sanaa Lathan. Like our Zenobia Jamerson, Lex, as she is called, negotiates her way between Aliens and Predators. Lex is an environmental technician and guide and works for a small environmental group (AAEA?). In the opening scene of the movie, Lex is climbing the Lho La ice fall in Nepal. Later she reluctantly partners with a really big corporation to explore a strange phenomenon in Antarctica.Her role surprised fans of the franchise, but the $171 million worldwide gross makes it the highest grossing of the 6 Alien and Predator movies and assures another film.
