Black Women Endangered Species on Morning Talk

Posted on 04:54 by ricky pointing
First there was Star Jones. Now Rene Syler, left, has gotten the axe. Julie Chen married management and remains safe during each purge. Okay. So the ratings are the rifle in the hunt for a hit. And CBS morning talk has been in the cellar forever. Not even Bryant Gumble could pull it out after he came out of retirement following his successful run at NBC.

Syler is a professional but you can see the hurt behind her eyes. In television, she is the equivalent of the walking dead. But she still has to show up and act like she is happy. Torture. Somebody pass a law to protect the sisters from this sort of abuse. Then again, CBS was very good to Syler. She probably has a luxury condo overlooking Central Park. Her kids are probably in exclusive private schools. She probably has a house keeper. And lastly, she knew what she was getting in to. Hang in there Rene. You are talented. Like a cat, you will land on your feet.

Subways: NY Graffiti Explodes & DC to get Entertainment

Posted on 07:55 by ricky pointing
New York graffiti 'artists' vandalized 162 subway cars in 2005, including spray-painting train exteriors, scratching messages on train windows or otherwise damaging equipment. It costs millions of dollars to repair the damage.

Meanwhile, Washington DC is proposing to allow musicians, mimes, dancers and other entertainers to perform outside of Metro stations. Metro will ask local arts councils to recommend appropriate acts. Performances will be outdoors at designated station entrances from April to October primarily during lunchtime. All genres of music will be provided. Metro has 86 stations but performances will be limited to 25 spots. Performers will be paid about $130 for 2 1/2 hours. Panhandling would not be allowed. (NY Daily News, Wash Post)

Erin Brockovich Loses Hollywood High Oil Rig Lawsuit

Posted on 07:32 by ricky pointing
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Wendell Mortimer Jr dismissed 12 lawsuits brought by Erin Brockovich-Ellis' law firm (Masry & Vititoe in Westlake Village) against Beverly Hills, its school district, Venoco (owner of the oil rig) and Sempra Energy (owner of a power plant near the rig) alleging that an oil well at Beverly Hills High School caused cancers in students between 1975 and 1997.

The oil rig has operated for decades at Hollywood High School and is shrouded with brightly collered flower panels. The rig is located at the northwest corner of Spalding Drive and Olympic Boulevard. The city and school district have received millions of dollars in royalties from the operation of the oil rig.

Brockovich, above left, became famous by winning a $333 million settlement from Pacific Gas & Electric for polluting the waters of Hinkley, Calif, near Barstow. The case was recounted in "Erin Brockovich," a 2000 film for which Julia Roberts, above right, won a best actress Oscar in the title role. (L.A. Times)

The Nativity Story: Black Wise Man Puts Food First

Posted on 14:15 by ricky pointing
Okay. It is a very small thing, but we are here to nitpik. The film is minimalist and great. Go see it. The Three Wise Men provide comic relief in the film. When they are expressing concern about traveling for months to visit baby Jesus the black Wise Man expresses concern for his food and spices.

It sounded like he couldn't go camping because he might miss his bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. We told you it was nitpiking over a small thing. But so many big things have been pushed on us over the decades. And remember.....KRAMER.

NIGGER: Our Reparation and Whites Cannot Say It

Posted on 20:42 by ricky pointing
White people should gladly refrain from using the term nigger anytime, anywhere, for any reason. Although present day whites did nothing to blacks in paticular, the vestiges of past racism can be seen everywhere in the U.S. - - mostly in separate communities. Resource disparities are also apparent due to America's racial history. Thus, whites should acknowledge the bloody and brutal history of their ancestors by paying this small reparation. No land. No money. No apology. And no NIGGER. The brilliant reporter Darryl Fears wrote a great article on this issue in The Washington Post.

Jesse Jackson and some other activisits and entertainers are calling for the complete elimination of the word. We don't think so. It is one of the most endearing terms in the black community. Yo nigger. My nigger. Nigger, nigger nigger. When blacks are conversing with blacks it is a term of great affection. Blacks are careful in trying not to use the term in front of whites. Even though it is freely used as an expression in music culture, whites should feel no loss in preventing themselves from using this term. Of course, some people, like Michael Richards, sometimes cannot resist the urge to scream "Fire" in the theater. All we have to say is that if you will not honor this small reparation, then good luck with the consequences. (Wash Post)

Michael Richards, Senator George Allen & Mel Gibson

Posted on 08:23 by ricky pointing
We agree with The Washington Post reporter Richard Cohen who writes, "We have come so far that it is not the vilified group that's hurt by the insult but the person making it. Richards fights for his professional life, Gibson licks his wounds, Allen lost the election - and a durable cliche is stood on its head: In America, injury gets added to insult."

Although Cohen lets Allen off too easily (Allen is a clear racist), his overall point is accurate. America condemns verbal acts of overt racism in the 21st Century. This is significant progress from the times when a black man could be lynched for even looking at a white woman - - and there would be a community picnic to celebrate the lynching.

Michael Richards Publicly Calls Blacks Niggers

Posted on 05:22 by ricky pointing
Many Whites use this term to describe Blacks when they get angry. They just do not do it in public and in front of Blacks. It is our reparation. If you are white, you should be willing to pay this small price. Although today's Whites did nothing to Blacks, their ancestors brutalized our ancestors and whites today continue to benefit from the past oppression of blacks.

Michael Richards is a rich, privileged White person. He chose to continue our brutalization. Some Whites think blacks are here to be kicked around just because they are dark people. Get a clue Michael KKKramer. If you like hearing a white racist use the term NIGGER, then enjoy this video. YouTube is deleting it so it might not be on long. It is a reminder to us and like the Jewish people, our response is: "NEVER AGAIN."

AAEA Press Conference Supporting Malibu LNG Project

Posted on 14:31 by ricky pointing
The Cabrillo Port Liquefied Natural Gas facility is being proposed by BHP Billiton, which wants to locate the terminal 15 miles off the coast of Malibu. Opponents are trying to kill the project by complaining that the terminal fails to meet federal clean air requirements. Pierce Brosnan, Barbra Streisand, Cindy Crawford, Martin Sheen, Tom Hanks, Sting and Charlize Theron and other celebrities are protesting plans to build the liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility. The Environmental Protection Agency is preparing a draft air pollution permit for BHP but is still reviewing public comments and will make a decision in 2007.

The Malibu City Council passed a resolution opposing the project.AAEA supports this project. Where are these celebrities when these projects are being proposed for minority neighborhoods. Nowhere to be found. It is a good project for the residents of California. We support a similar that is proposed to be located in the middle of Long Island Sound (Broadwater). We believe this project would provide a reliable source of low-polluting natural gas. Next the celebrities will be complaining that the project represents a disproportionate impact on rich, famous people and will be calling for environmental justice. BHP Billiton, an Australia-based company, has submitted an license application to construct a $800-million floating deep-water liquefied natural gas port terminal off the Ventura County coast. Public hearings by the Coast Guard and the California State Lands Commission will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to participate in the environmental review process, which will take into account economic, environmental, marine habitat and public safety issues.

The Cabrillo Deepwater Port, which would act as a receiving point for shipments of California-bound natural gas, would be the first such floating terminal on the West Coast. Stored liquefied natural gas would be converted to vapor through a heat exchange system and transported by an undersea pipeline to existing onshore natural gas facilities. BHP has stated that the terminal would also be placed outside shipping lanes. Once the environmental review process is completed, the Coast Guard will issue a recommendation on the review to the state Department of Transportation, which will ultimately decide whether to issue an operating license to BHP.

Hollywood A Big Air Polluter: Where is Celebrity Protest?

Posted on 12:09 by ricky pointing
A UCLA study has concluded that Hollywood is a big air polluter. Hollywood produces more smog gases than are produced by aerospace manufacturing, apparel, hotels and semi-conductor manufacturing. Hollywood must do something about this besides buying a Prius as the 6th car and bragging about it. Or sending out emails claiming some victory or movement.

Some movie studios are buying carbon offsets and The Matrix folk recycled the set. If Hollywood cannot set an example for the rest of the nation, then its salespeople (celebrity actors and directors) should stop shining us on.

Bluetooth & the Brothers

Posted on 14:49 by ricky pointing
Is it us or do the brothers 'play' the bluetooth more than others? The only people we see walking around with the bluetooth, for the most part, are the brothers. Of course, it does make sense as a fashion statement. And the brothers are into fashion. You know. Cool. So maybe the brothers see it as cool. Or maybe it makes some feel or look more important. Maybe it is the appearance of being busy. Wheeling and dealing. Working hard. Nothing wrong with that.

For some reason, we do not think it is cool though. It is pretentious. It is similar to the people that talk too loud on their cell phone because they are convinced that others are fascinated with whatever they are talking about. If you're not talking, then take the bluetooth out. We are close enough to the Star Trek Borg without these bluetoothers looking like the "Brother From Another Planet."

Democracy Can Land You In Heaven or Hell

Posted on 11:44 by ricky pointing
While walking down the street one day a US Senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance. "Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in we'll have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity." And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him. Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce abou t the good times they had whilegetting rich at the expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne. Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevatorrises.

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him. "Now it's time to visit heaven." So, 24 hours pass with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns. "Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity." The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: "I would be better off in hell." So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above. The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. "I don't understand," stammers the Senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?" The devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning......Today you voted."

Tom Cruise Takes Control of United Artists

Posted on 18:52 by ricky pointing
Sumner Redstone fired Tom Cruise becaue he knew Cruise was negotiating to gain control of his own studio. Redstone was insulted and pretended to be angry about Cruise's behavior over the past year. Cruise's behavior has been mildly amusing at best. Don't mess with Sumner's money though. And Tom decided to break out and compete with his boss. So now Tom Cruise and his partner, Paula Wagner, willl take charge of United Artists, which is owned by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, (MGM) Inc., which is owned by Comcast Corporation and Sony Corporation.

Neither Cruise nor Wagner had to put up any money. They will produce 4 movies a year initially costing about $40 - $50 million with MGM distributing the films. Cruise will also use outside investors, such as Washington Indians owner Dan Snyder, and investment banks to spread the risk.

Flavor Flav: The King of VH1

Posted on 16:15 by ricky pointing
According to the Nielsen ratings, nearly 7.5 million viewers tuned in for the October finale of VH1's "Flavor of Love." It is the highest rated show in the history of VH1. This is Flav's second, third or fouth successful act. He was the comic relief for the dead serious globally successful rap group Public Enemy. Flavor Flav, left, hit with VH1's "Surreal Life," where his romance with Sylvester Stallone's ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen wowed viewers. He joined with Nielsen for the hilarious "Strange Love," and now "Flavor of Love" is a super hit.

And Flavor knows about controversy. When Professor Grif got Public Enemy in trouble with anti-Semitic statements, the world caved in on the group. Those now calling him a minstrel are probably unaware that his character is over 20 years old. His trademark clock made its debut when Ronald Reagan was still president. William Jonathan Drayton, Jr., 47, is a charming guy who has created a compelling character. Coming back from the bottom must be sweet joy for him. When you've been to the top and then to the bottom, it must feel very good to beat the odds and get back up on top. Go get'em Flav. We'll be watching every step of the way.

Color of the Cross: Black Jesus Movie

Posted on 21:02 by ricky pointing
Release Date: October 27, 2006 Distributor: Nu-Lite Entertainment. Synopsis: This movie examines the final 48 hours of Jesus Christs life before his capture at Mount Gethsemane. By portraying Jesus as a black man, this movie may appear controversial to some. However, it stands to be the single most positive image of a black lead character in a film to date.

The controversy lies in the portrayal of Jesus as a black Nazarene, persecuted because of his radical interpretation of the Torah. Color of the Cross tells a story that is familiar to most. However, since Jesus is portrayed as a black man, this version of the story of Jesus can examine the role that race may have played in the persecution, capture, and crucifixion of Jesus.

Chuck Berry is 80 Years Old

Although ChuckBerry and Little Richard invented Rock & Roll, they do not get the credit they deserve. Of course, both of the old war horses are still alive and they never performed together. Maybe something will show up on YouTube though. You never know. Or maybe it is not too late.

Leonardo DiCaprio plans to be the co-creator and executive producer of a new television show that will focus on the environment and will chronicle the eco-friendly reconstruction of an American town as it is transformed into a "'green' utopia of tomorrow." The project is currently being shopped to broadcast networks.

The idea for the project was inspired by the destruction of New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina and Al Gore's global warming documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth.' He intends to take a devastated community and help transform it as a prototype for the future. The town to receive the initial makeover has yet to be determined. Leo should rebuild in the 9th Ward in New Orleans.

AAEA uses YouTube too. But like any site that becomes popular, think the internet, it becomes a black hole because of its populartity. But lightning can still strike if you come up with something really unique to upload.

YouTube recently cut deals with Warner (Brothers) Music Group, NBC Universal, Sony BMG and Universal Music Group. When UPN and The WB combined to become The CW, the black nights were reduced and moved from Monday and Tuesday to Sunday. The ratings are not good. "Everybody Hates Chris" opened with 2.4 million (even with help from Whoopi Goldberg), "All of Us" (2.3 million), "Girlfriends" (2.7 milion) and "America's Next Top Model" (2.5 million). "Chris" and "Girlfriends" dropped 70 and 50 percent each from last year's premiers.

Will Rupert Murdoch Improve DC Newspaper Market?

Posted on 11:15 by ricky pointing
The Washington Post ran a tongue-in-cheek piece on the possibility of Rupert Murdoch, right, expanding the distribution of the New York Post in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Evidently Murdoch is printing copies of the NYP at local printing presses owned by the Baltimore Sun. Interesting.

We hope Mr. Murdoch will publish a local paper in Washington, DC. Although The Washington Times does an excellent job, New York City has three major dailies. DC deserves no less. Maybe the District of Columbia Post. The Washington Post is arrogant because of its monopoly status in the nation's capital. Their liberal bias is sickening. Their Democratic Party bias is unprofessional. Murdoch's News Corp Inc is desperately needed in Washington, DC. We need fair and balanced reporting from more print media sources.

Black Writers & Creators Make Big Difference On Sit Coms

Posted on 15:22 by ricky pointing
The black folk on "Desperate Housewives" did not work out while the black folk on "Grey's Anatomy" are thriving. What is the difference? We believe no blacks had input at "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey's Anatomy" is produced by a black woman, Shonda Rhimes. Does this mean whites cannot write black parts or create real black characters? Probably not. But it probably depends on which whites are writing and creating. Just as Shonda Rhimes writes very well for the white characters in "Grey's," whites familiar with the black experience can easily write for blacks and create realistic black characters. However, blacks are more familiar with white culture than whites are with black culture. Whites just do not like crossing the tracks too much. And we have to go to work.

It is too bad that Alfre Woodard was miscast in "Desperate" and her family was not believeably woven into the structure of the show. The black doctors in "Grey's" are perfectly cast and developed. You rarely if ever have seen a black/Asian hookup on primetime TV. We're talking good character development, plot, romance and hot love scenes. So listen up Hollywood. Be careful who you put on the black tip. We do not need the cup tipping over too often as was the case in "Desperate."

Blacks Show Inferiority on First Episode of "Survivor"

Posted on 16:06 by ricky pointing
Definitively proving that blacks are lower on the evolutionary scale, the first episode of "Survivor," showed that the black tribe could not build a boat or start a fire. Boat building is clearly a chore for the group that came down out of the trees the earliest in the Darwinian view. Thank you Mark Burnett for clearing this up for America.

The black tribe proved their inferiority by losing the first challenge. They could not figure out how to put together their "puzzle boat," but the Asian, white and Latino teams not only put their boats together first, they also rowed it out to a flame and rowed back. The 'closer-to-the-monkey' blacks then had to get rid of one of their own by sending someone from their team (a woman) to another team. Great symbolism there. The black man cannot take care of his woman so she is given to someone else.

Black Characters Dumped From "Desperate Housewives"

Although we like to see black actors working because of historical exclusions, we must admit that the addition of the Applewhites, the African American family with the nut in the basement, was not good. The interracial young lovers were hot, but probably did not play well in Kansas. And we love Afre Woodard, but she didn't seem to fit in this show. Maybe Gabriel Union or Thandie Newton would have been a better match. Anyway, we hope another black character will be cast. The Latino community is well represented. Of course, the role is pretty slutty, but hey, as the minorities say in Hollywood, "work is work."

Freddie Stone vs Tito Jackson

Posted on 16:03 by ricky pointing
They were the guitar players and vocalists for two of the greatest sibling bands of all time. Chuck Berry introduced dance to the guitar player so Freddie and Tito danced too. Their brothers were the stars of the acts, but their contributions were vital to the success and image of the bands.

So which one was the better guitar player, better looking, better dancer and better singer?

"Caddyshack" did not need the Racist Scene

Posted on 11:34 by ricky pointing
One of our favorite movies has a horribly racist scene inserted right in the middle. It is of a black man in a small boat. He 'bugs out his eyes' like they did in the early racist depiction of blacks in movies. Either the director is racist or one of the producers insisted on this intentional insult to black people. And we enjoy the movie so much. It is probably the perfect golf movie comedy. Shame, shame, shame on the racist idiot for placing this little piece of racism in an almost perfect film.

Vivendi Universal Music Group To Buy BMG Music Group

Posted on 19:36 by ricky pointing
Vivendi Universal Music Group has won the bid to buy Bertelsmann's BMG's Music Publishing Group for $2.1 billion. If approved by USA and European antitrust officials it will add 1 million copyrights to Vivendi's 1 million copyrights, making them the largest music copyright holder in the world.

Vivendi will still have copyright competition for songs played on the radio from Warner/Chapell and Sony/ATV. (Bertelsmann)

Linny Boyette: Today Show Outside Audience Star

Posted on 18:22 by ricky pointing
Update: Linny Boyette Died on Sunday, October 6, 2013

Every time the camera pans the audience of the 7-10 am "Today" show on NBC, Linny is always there - - cool as ever. He has been there everyday for 12 years except for illness and is retired from the U.S. Army.

He is 63, was born in Jamaica and raised in New York and London. He speaks with a deep British accent. We must admit that he has taken a unique path to fame.

AAEA President Norris McDonald was in the "Today" show audience and met Linny, left. Linny is cool with his fans.

Governator Likes Hot Blood

Posted on 13:12 by ricky pointing
So what did the governor of Cal - Lee - fornia mean when he said Latinas are 'hot?' Did he mean they are hot blooded? Hot headed? Or sexy hot? Probably all of the above. Some Latinos have complained that it is insulting to be considered hot headed. Point taken. But was Arnie giving a compliment here? He seemed to be saying that he likes the 'hot-ness' of Puerto Ricans with some 'black blood' in them.

He apologized. We think it was a Hollywood stunt. It is election season and very little is left to chance. Of course Virginia Senator George Allen is reeling from a monkey comment, but otherwise these campaigns are stage managed. Are we really to believe this tape accidently caught him mouthing about 'hot' Latinas and it just happened to leak. We're not buying it black farmer. And we are sure that Maria is questioning you about your admiration of that 'hot' blood.

Krumping: Hip Hop Meets White Frat Beer Blast Dancing

Posted on 15:11 by ricky pointing
Krumping is evidently the new dance thing. There always has to be a new dance thing for teenagers. Remember the 'Swim,' 'Watusi,' 'Twist,' 'Breaking,' 'Robot,' 'Electric Slide?' And we thought the 'Dog' had taken over. Krumping is Hip Hop dancing like a spastic clown. Reminds us of white guys ater 10 bears at a keg party. But hey, this is America and hybridization of culture has made for all types of expressions. Anyway, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Celebrity Fit Club & Hurricane Katrina

Posted on 10:09 by ricky pointing
Celebrity Fit Club should have several shows in New Orleans and invite contestants from the evacuees. We know you noticed that many of the people, particularly some of the women, at the Superdome and the Convention Center had not missed a meal or a snack. New Orleans is known for its Cajun and Creole foods. Louisisna gumbo has nourished an obese population.

Hollywood reality could meet reality in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward. They should set up shop there and invite hundreds to participate in the show. It would also be a way to help evacuees to return if they win. And allow for hundreds of winners. Maybe $100,000 prizes. Some of the people would still not be able to lose the weight. Since "Survivor" is pimping the race theme, maybe they should have their next show in the Lower Ninth Ward too. Then all those Hollywood Limosine Liberals could donate a subtantial portion of their money to multiple evacuee winners to return to New Orleans. It will be a wet day in Hell before that happens.

"Survivor" : More on the Racial Theme

Posted on 20:02 by ricky pointing
There is a fine line between celebrating your race and taking it to that perverse place Hitler chose. But whites, blacks, Asians and Latinos should be proud of their races. Humans are competitive even to the point of war. Humans are violent even to the point of murder. But perversity and evil-doing are not unique to interracial and inter-ethnic conflicts. Man and woman's inhumanity to man and woman are not limited to race or ethnicity. So racial pride does not have to be evil. As Jim Greene wrote to the New York Daily News, "Competing by race is not racist; it's the same as the Irish cheering St. Patrick's Day, Puerto Ricans cheering their parade, Harlemites cheering Harlem Week, etc."

Well we celebrate race in our organization's name. Proudly so. And we clearly state in our goals that membership is open to anyone interested in working for improvements in the black community. There is one in virtually every city in the U.S. There does appear to be some politicking going on though because the New York City Council's Black, Latino and Asian Caucuses are assailing "Survivor." Don't they know it makes no sense for them to condemn CBS' racial theme when they created themselves using race and ethnicity.

MTV Video Music Awards & the U.S. Open

Posted on 17:21 by ricky pointing
By Norris McDonald. I went to the awards ceremony at Radio City Music Hall, its Red Carpet at Rockefeller Plaza and the U.S. Open on the same day. What a great day. Watched Nadal and Serena win in Arthur Ashe Stadium, left, and Layton Hewitt in the Louis Armstrong Stadium. The facility was named the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Always wanted to attend this event in Flusing Meadows, New York.

Radio City Music Hall did not have good acoustics. Maybe it wasn't designed for amped up rock and rap music. The stars were there: Beyonce, Cristina, JLo, Paris, Pink, Missy, Shakira, Fergie, Jessica and the guy stars were there too: Nick, Justin, Will I Am, Puffy, Jay, Rev Run, Russell, and more. I stayed at the Mayfair Hotel across the street from the Ambassador Theater where Usher was starring in "Chicago."

The Red Carpet was one block away from the side entrances of Radio City Music Hall. I think this takes away fun for the fans because police barriers keep them from roaming between both places. So the people standing outside the hall do not get to see the stars enter because they take a back entrance closer to Rockefeller Plaza. It was my first time at the awards and it was great. Free food and booze off the first floor lobby. The ladies really come out for this event. Lines just to stand outside stretched for blocks. Video screens set up outside. And an opportunity to rub shoulders with luminaries. Al Gore was there too. He is clearly campaigning for the presidency.

I hate to admit it but I had not heard of the following bands that performed or were recognized at the awards: The Killers, Panic at the Disco, The Raconteurs, AFI, and All American Rejects. My 14 year old son knew them all very well though. Does this mean that I am officially old? And Hype Williams is a genius. He received the Video Vanguard Award. I hope to work with him one day.

Hawk-Eye Technology Changes Tennis Environment

Posted on 18:35 by ricky pointing
Instant replay made its debut at the U.S. Open this week. And it was great. It made tennis matches much more exciting. Now if they would just get rid of lets. The 10 small cameras tracking shots measure marks within three millimeters. Only the Ashe and Armstrong stadiums have the system because it costs $300,000. Players get two challenges per set plus another one for tiebreakers. If the call is reversed, the player keeps the challenge.

We believe the system was adopted because of bad calls that went against Serena Williams in two different major tournaments.
